While we rave about how much we love wine, we often jump from bottle to bottle to try the newest flavors. Not only that but we can go through phases where we are crazy about red wine, then white, and don’t forget about that summer sipping rosé! Some half drunk bottles of wine can get forgotten about in the mix, and we often don’t know what to do with them. Here are some recipes that require you to use up your leftover wine in the most constructive way possible!

1. Parmesan Crusted White Wine Dijon Salmon

Salmon is jam-packed with health benefits including containing a large amount of Omega-3 Fatty Acids which are super important to incorporate into your diet.

Use your leftover white wine to create a sauce that you will want to smother your fish in because of it’s incredibly memorable, delicious flavor.

2. Pork Loin with Wine and Herb Gravy

Are you a huge fan of meals that are just swimming in flavor…more specifically gravy? A lot of time we don’t think about incorporating wine into gravy but it’s actually a great way to add flavor.

With this recipe, your pork loin is absolutely smothered in gravy, keeping it very moist and tender. Serve with some garlic mashed potatoes.

3. Braised Meatballs in Red Wine Gravy

We all have had those friends over where we aren’t sure if they are red or white wine drinkers, so we just buy both. In the end, we all prefer white so the red goes untouched.

If you don’t want to regift this bottle of wine, try making this recipe where red wine is required for the meatball sauce. Delicious!

4. Chicken In White Wine Sauce

Chicken is one of those meals you can get really sick of really quickly because it can often lack flavor if it’s not cooked right.

Banish those bad chicken days for good and use your leftover white wine to create a sauce that will make your chicken ooze with flavor!

5. Paprika Chicken & Spinach with White Wine Butter Thyme Sauce

Still not sold on the idea that chicken can be a flavor-packed meal that doesn’t have to disappoint? This recipe will definitely change your mind.

What are two foods that always contribute to a happy evening of eating and drinking? Butter and wine. So let’s combine that with an amazing sauce that will help flavor chicken to the point where you won’t be able to believe it was “just chicken”.

6. Slow Cooked Beef Cheeks in Red Wine with Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Are you looking for a meal that will sweep someone off their feet and take their taste buds on a flavor adventure of the year?!

This is the meal for you – super gourmet, super straightforward and finished off with red wine. Add a scrumptious salad on the side for some good veggies as well.

7. White Wine and Fresh Herbs Marinade

Marinading meat is an easy way for you to have supper getting prepped without you even having to touch your meal before you turn on the oven.

Make this marinade at the beginning of the week and add to your chicken breasts at the beginning of the day before work, then come home to some flavorful chicken that is ready to be cooked.

8. Sauteed Button Mushrooms in White Wine, Garlic, Lemon

Needing a simple side dish for your chicken, pork or beef? How about a delicious meal for your vegan friends? This is the dish you’ll definitely want to make!

Mushrooms absorb whatever flavors you cook them in, making them a wonderful substitute for meat while also being a great vessel to showcase amazing sauces and flavor combinations.

9. Crockpot Red Wine Chicken Cacciatore

The best suppers are the ones that are piping hot and ready to eat when you come home from work at the end of the day.

This crockpot red wine chicken cacciatore will be exactly that because you just dump the ingredients into the crockpot at the beginning of the day and come home to a gourmet supper.

10. Rosemary Pinot Noir Steak Chili

Chili is a staple in most homes during the cooler winter months. Sometimes it can get a little repetitive, especially when it comes to flavor.

This chili is extra gourmet because not only does it have pinot noir, but it also incorporates the flavor of rosemary as well.

11. Wine Syrup

Leftover wine doesn’t always have to end up in the garbage after being stored in the fridge or on the shelf for months on end until you finally decide to part with it!

Create a sweet, delectable syrup that can top off any ice cream or greek yogurt treat. It’s a new way to add flavor to your typically plain dairy products.

12. Red Wine Pasta Sauce

Pasta is always paired with fine wine for a traditional Italian meal, but what about incorporating the wine into the sauce and not just in the glass?

Make this insanely impressive pasta sauce with your leftover wine for a memorable twist on Italian food. Your friends and family will thoroughly enjoy it.

13. Pasta in Paprika White Wine Sauce

In case you’re more of a white wine sauce person, this simple sauce is going to make using up your wine one of the easiest tasks of your day.

Not only that, but it will also contribute to a recipe you can make large portions of and take to work for lunch the next day.

14. Creamy White Wine Shrimp Alfredo

Who doesn’t love a good fettuccine alfredo dish that has been jazzed up and taken to the next level of gourmet eating?

This pasta dish looks like your average fettuccine alfredo, but between the white wine adding flavor to the sauce and shrimp for some lean protein, this meal is anything but average.

15. Halibut in Garlic White Wine Sauce

Needing to pull together what you have left in your freezer and fridge to create a masterpiece last minute? This recipe is fantastic for that!

You probably have some frozen fish in your freezer, tomatoes, lemon and leftover white wine sauce, so use it to create an amazing supper!
